The most popular and affordable SSD is the Serial ATA(SATA). It is capable of reading the content at 6Gb per sec though is a little slower in writing. SATA is replacing the traditional hard disk drives in a big way. SAS or serial attached SCSI interface is yet another popular SSD which many big enterprises are considering. The latest form SAS-3 has the capability of moving data at up to double the speed of SATA of about 12Gb per second.
