Cloud hosting offers several benefits to the users. It is more reliable, can manage high traffic loads with no hiccups on bandwidth or uptime as the load is distributed on the other servers. This gives cloud an advantage over the traditional hosting and feasible for businesses. When it comes to the pricing calculations, the traditional server prices are fixed on a monthly rental depending on the plans you choose. You are allocated resources as per the plan you choose and you must pay for them whether you use them or not. The plans and costs vary from one provider to another. Once you exhaust your server resources, you must upgrade to a higher plan or buy another server. Cloud hosting, on the other hand, is calculated on how much you consume on a monthly billing arrangement. There is generally a minimum bill at which the provider starts with and after that, you are billed on the pay-as-you-use model. You do not have to pay anything more than what you use. There is no limit on the upper side. The advantage here is that you are not billed for services that you do not consume. Another benefit with the cloud hosting is that you can change your requirements any time you want and you still pay for only whatever you consume. |
