Cloud hosting services are the resources that are delivered to the consumers over the internet. Some attributes of the cloud services are its flexibility that allows you to draw as many resources as you want on demand and discard them when you do not want them. You just subscribe to the services under a monthly billing pattern. Cloud hosting services are offered in three basic forms of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. Software as a Service(SaaS): In this model software applications are distributed by the providers over the net rather than deploy them on individual user machines. Consumers save from investing in infrastructure and their maintenance. They can access their services from any location and pay for services they use. Platform as a Service(PaaS): It is a service model for the developers. They can construct their applications using computing platforms such as operating systems, database management services, hosting, storage services etc. Instead of buying the resources and deploying them on their machines, developers just subscribe whatever they require paying for what they consume. Infrastructure as a Service(IaaS): The third service model where providers offer computing resources like servers, load balancers, CDNs, servers and more over the internet. Cloud services are offered in three forms of public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud. |
