Can someone explain how to check total no. of connections from an IP to a port on a dedicated server?

To check the total number of connections from the IP address to any port on a dedicated server, you must first access the server. To access this, you must use the root user to get to the SSH. You can use different SSH clients and once you have logged in; you must type in this command: netstat -plan|grep :PORT|awk {'print $5'}|cut -d: -f 1|sort|uniq -c|sort -nk 1 |grep IP_ADDRESS. The IP address portion must be changed with the real IP address and the "PORT" option must be filled with the actual port. You will be given the list of IPs that are currently accessing the dedicated server.
