The Grid Security Infrastructure (GSI), earlier known as the Globus Security Infrastructure, is an arrangement for undisclosed, meddle-proof, delegable communiqué between software in a grid computing milieu. Protected and authenticable communiqué is empowered using asymmetric encryption provision.


In other words, it provides the validation and authorization appliances for system security according to X.509 proxy certificates.
